Double Page Spread Prototype

Like the cover page, I have drawn out a basic plan for my double page spread. I was inspired by FEMM's images to separate parts of my talent's photo and split them across the two pages while taking up most of the space. As the audience will have seen the cover they can recognise the artist by the clothing and style of photo. The article will be written across the top of the spread in paragraphs.

Now I am going to make a prototype of my double page spread. I have chosen to use the image of FEMM where their heads are flipped, in the format of my drawing. I am making it on canva.com so the pages are separated currently but for the final version I will put them together.

The images are in the lower third of the page which is easy to see for the readers and bold, like the artist. I halved the image on each page and flipped it on the second so the readers can see each person in the duo.

Now I have put FEMM's logo in the top left of the first page. This is instead of using a headline for the article, Fans will see their logo and know what the article is about, and people new to the band will now recognise their logo.

Now I have added the main body of the article, the page looks a lot more full. The second page will be identical, which also follows how FEMM are twins. Feedback from my audience has said this layout is effective and they would read an article that looked like this.
